Every Women Enjoys a New Outfit! Shirts & Skirts Donation Drive

A group of women from all points of the age spectrum will be traveling to Ethiopia this summer to serve, support, and befriend Ethiopian women and children.  One of their projects is the distribution of skirts and shirts for the women they will be ministering to.

This project is unattainable without  help. I hope you'll consider partnering with these women by donating new or GENTLY used skirts and shirts so they can provide clothing for these women. Let's face it: no matter which country you live in, or your socio-economic background, EVERY woman enjoys a new outfit that makes her feel special.

They are looking for:
Skirts: long, full, and breathable skirts in sizes XS, S, and M.
Shirts: T-shirts or blouses that cover the shoulders and are not very thick in sizes XS, S, and M.

The Skirts and Shirts Donation Drive will be held from May 16th-30th, but if you have donations, I will pick them up from you this week
(Donations can also be brought to the YWAM Adoption Ministry office in Puyallup during our office hours of Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.)

Feel free to post this on your blog or facebook wall.  I will be happy to meet up with anyone who has shirts or skirts to donate!

  1. I just have to say that I got some really darling, almost new, long skirts at the thrift store before we went to Ethiopia. Each one was less than $5.00. I will check again to see what I can find; thanks for posting this!

  2. Hi Rachel! I have 5-6 garbage bags full of leftover clothes from our rummage sale fundraiser. I will go through them and pull the things that meet the requirements. This is totally God's timing because I was going to load them up in my car this week and drop them off at the Goodwill! I can bring them to the Potluck on Saturday :)

  3. It was great meeting you tonight. I know you have a long road ahead of you, but I wish you luck on your adoption journey. I hope you have been encouraged by the fact that MOWA doesn't seem to be slowing down and that families are moving on through the process. (Much slower than they used to, but moving none-the-less!)
